While the newest season of Stranger Things may be released next year, that doesn’t mean that we can’t talk about it. We’ve been a part of the journey for a couple of years now and we honestly can’t wait for the next and final season to drop.

Coming back to Stranger Things, it would be nice to look back on what happened in the previous seasons of Stranger Things so that you are up to speed before the next season begins. Make sure that you read all the way to the end so that you don’t miss out on any of the important details!
Is Eddie Going to Come Back?
Stranger Things has a pattern where it introduces a new character and makes the audience fall in love with it. When you love the character way too much, they kill off that character.
That is exactly what they did with Eddie too and we still can’t get over that. Eddie was recently introduced to the gang and they slowly made us understand the character and develop a liking towards him.
However, towards the end of the season, Eddie travels to the Upside Down with the gang and he has that epic scene with the guitar where he plays Master of Puppets by Metallica and that is something that we can never forget.
While battling the Demobats, Eddie decides to sacrifice himself so that he can save Steve, Nancy, and Robin. While Eddie dies a heroic death, we really don’t like how they kill off a loved character every season, it just isn’t fair!
Whatever Happened to Max?
Well, as far as we remember Vecna nearly took control of Max and killed her in that horrid way that he always does. Max had her bones crushed and was dead for a solid minute, a minute that we will remember for a lifetime because of how we held our breath for the entirety of it, crying as we watched Eleven try to revive her.
However, Max did come back to life but she has been in a comatose state since then and completely unresponsive. Eleven tries to reach out to her but she has no luck in doing so. We will have to watch the next season to find out what happens to Max! We really wish nothing bad happens to her because well, we love her too much as a character!
Is Vecna Going to Return in the Next Season?
Will had an unpleasant feeling at the back of his neck the way he always did when he was under the curse of Vecna. As this happened, particles of the Upside Down could be seen floating during the last moments of the final episode of season 4.
It is very likely that Vecna will try to use Will again so that he goes against the gang one more time but we will have to wait and see how that pans out. This indicates that Vecna is still alive and he will wreak havoc over Hawkins one more time.
We also found out that the Demogorgon and the Mind Flayer were all “soldiers” of Vecna.
What About Dr. Brennan aka “Papa”?
So we know that Dr. Brennan was the main person who conducted experiments on all the children, including Eleven and One (Vecna) until One went rogue and went on a killing spree till Eleven faced him and banished him to the Upside Down where he turned into Vecna in the first place.
In a showdown against Vecna again, the military arrived so that they could finish off Eleven because she seemed like a national threat to them. But Papa brought Eleven back to safety and in the process, he gets shot by the soldiers.
Even though Papa tranquilized Eleven in the process, she still managed to take down the military helicopters using her powers. Papa died in the process and he tried telling Eleven that whatever he did, he did it out of love which she obviously didn’t believe. Everything started in the first place because of Dr. Brennan’s experiments.
Based on that, we probably won’t be seeing Papa in the new seasons, but we’ll have to wait and find out!
Conclusive Note
Stranger Things is just around the corner (kinda) and we can’t wait for it. Now that we have caught up with the story and have remembered all the significant deaths and comatose states, we will have to wait and see what happens next!
